Genusee
BRANDING, UX/UI, PACKAGING
Genusee is a unique, emerging eyewear brand that sources their materials from the plastic bottle waste created by the Flint Water Crisis. Genusee glasses are crafted in Flint Michigan to boost economy and create living wage jobs. The company was founded on kickstarter last year and gained tons of support. Genusee has since launched their product.

Unique Selling Point
Genusee is a sustainable eyewear brand that aims to do better for people and the planet. Genusee glasses are made from 100 percent recycled materials from the Flint Water Crisis.
The Problem
The progressive and enlightened brand’s current website and trademark do not communicate the cause and impact that Genusee wants to make. Their current website structure buries their main selling point and does not tell their story in a way that is as impactful as the brand is.
Solution
Meredith and I wanted to to recreate their brand, website and packaging to better showcase Genusee’s mission.
Audience
Consumers who are concerned about their impact on the environment and want to make purchases they can feel good about.
Brand Voice
Genusee’s brand voice is enlightened, responsible and ready to take action to solve the problems created by the water crisis.
